I mean it's recent patch was just prime modes for a couple of dungeons, a raid and an expedition if I recall.
It just squandered whatever potential it had. Especially for a game as small as this.ĭon't get me wrong Wildstar is an alright game. Releasing a patch the same day as Destiny 2 is a prime example of a stupid move. And on top of that poor advertising which is most certainly on Carbines end. The game was launched in a poor state, the games endgame content was meager and current content if you can even call it that consists of upscaling older content.
Now while the MMO doesn't deserve to be shut down if it is then they will have nobody but themselves to blame. They made the decisions that affected the game in a negative way. The monumental mess THEY made with the game is the reason it is a skeleton crew now.Īnd clearly the Matrix didn't work did it otherwise the games numbers would be higher and the profit margins post matrix would be up. It does matter, and the game still has an extremely downsized group working on it, they added an easily expandable system with The Matrix to always have content to do for that reason, rather upscaled, old, or re-imaginedĪnd yes the launch was bad, but like many games especially MMO's having bad launches it has become way better then what it was.you can't really judge an MMO just by the launch alone.That downsized group is their own fault.
